I've decided to give these a go with my Level 93 LF Zon (400 MF)

My first run was promising...from Arcane sanctuary to Duriel I found:

2 Unique rings (Manald-Nagel of course)
Unique Rune Staff
Unique battle Belt
Unique platemail

Now all of these are crap, but the rings could have been others, and 5
uniques from one run's not bad.....i'll see if that was an aberration.

Duriel of course was easy for her...dunno how other classes would do.

What you found is fairly typical of what I've mostly seen from what Duriel
runs I've done. You'll get some drops, but for the quality of them vs. time
spent, I think you're better off fooling around with other areas.

But that's just me.

I'm not a major player, having only made it as far as NM Act I before moving
on to other past-times, but I have noticed that all my Normal Maggot-Lair
runs produce fairly good items.

Does this hold true in NM/Hell? I don't hear of anyone going on Maggot-Lair
runs :)

I did with my pally for awhile, but he never turned up anything
good...

Maggot Lair Level 3 in Hell is Level 85 and as such, the best items in the
game can drop there. I've not run it much even though the barbs I usually
play are probably as well suited for it as any character in the
game--perhaps better.

My melee pally runs the Hell maggot lair all the time. Currently lvl 86,
he and his Act 5 merc blow through the area.

I found an IK Armor there this week. Other good finds include a Mal, a
Lightsaber, Steelrend and a Stone Crusher.
