Upgrade ethereal Ginther's Rift?

I am tempted to do this, just to see if I get an ethereal Phase blade :-)
But maybe someone could confirm if it works or not before I waste the
runes..

Haven't done it myself, but I saw a screenshot, in which it certainly
looked like an indestructible ethereal phase blade, and have heard it
attested that it does do exactly what you want it to.

I wouldn't waste the runes. You'll get a phase blade, but it will still be
Ginther's Rift with Ginther's Rift's Mods. You won't get a lightsabre or a
Azurewrath. The fact your's is ethereal is a nice combo with Ginther's
self-repair, but what are you going to ues it for? Other than the IAS the
mod's aren't that good. I doubt you could get much for it in a trade
either.

Well, I know it's only the base items that gets upgraded, but still. Even if
it's not worth much, just wanted to have an ethereal phase blade, as it
shouldn't be possible. And I'll hang it over my fireplace to show it to
everybody.
Still have a lvl 13 req Azurewrath if anyone's interested ;-)

Nah, but that would also been a cool upgrade. Too bad it's non-ladder, so no
phase blade though.

Well, that goes without saying. ALL Azurewrath Crystal Swords are
non-ladder. Any Azurewrath found in 1.10 will be a Phase Blade...

Yes, but if you found one in 1.09 and kept it, you could still HAVE one in
1.10, just not on the ladder.
