creates? Im in NM and what to start doing a few runs there.
Very simple.
Do NOT hit the waypoint in the Halls of Pain.
That's it.
That cant be right.
I always get halls of pain WP and ive never had that red portal disappear.
My guess is its to do with the nihilihak quest.
It definitly works, at least it did last ladder seasonf or me. Maybe you
have to take the wp _and_ kill Nilly to close the portal like said elsewhere
in this thread. This would explain why you can take wp and still take the
short way to pindle. But ArtDent is on the safe side, too.

I think it's that you need to complete the kill Nilly quest. You can
still kill Nilly if whoever made the game had done so previously.
How you do it depends on what you're planning on doing with the
character. If you only want to run Pindle, then you don't have a use
for the WP anyway. If you want to run Nilly for keys though, then you
have to either decide whether you want to start from the WP and make
the run a little bit quicker, but make it take longer should you want
to visit Pindle with that character, or just go through Pindle
everytime you go to visit Nilly. I always took this second option
with my sorceress. My barbarian took the first, going from the WP
since he couldn't teleport. WW and leap meant he could get past the
mobs easy enough, but he still had to follow the corridors.
If you can run two computers at the same time, you can have one
character that's done the kill Nilly quest create it, then have your
Pindle/Nilly running character that has the WP but hasn't completed
the Nilly quest join in and do the run. Because they won't get the
quest completed when they kill Nilly, the red portal will always be
there when they create a game to do Pindle runs.
