Bonehew, Amn Amn or Amn Shael?

Someone must have tested both?

Yet my merc use a Guillaume's Face if that matter...

Damage is from 800 to 3K so do we estimate 1900 average and try to know if
7% LL of 1900 a bit faster is better than 14% LL of 1900?

BTW I know it has been discuted here and there but what is you opinion? I
guess no one is that bad, just want to know if there is a better option...
sometimes it depends on other equipement.

Amn, Amn. It is my belief that the slight increase in attack speed you get
by putting a Shael in (3.8 attacks a second instead of 3.5, the breakpoints
for an act 2 merc are 9, 20, 37 and Bonehew comes with 30) isn't worth the
extra deaths your merc will experience when the going gets tough.

Unless maybe you could find a nice rare jewel with 15% IAS and some other
nice mods to use instead of the Shael, or you give the merc Andariels Visage
(20% IAS and even more LL, it's what all the cool mercs are wearing this
season). There's also Crowcaw armour (15% IAS) or, of course Twitchthroe,
although that's alittle lacking in def.

The only time I don't put Amn Amn in a Bonehew is if I need a merc to wear
it who doesn't have the strength, then I put a Hel or jewel (-15% req and,
hopefully other mods) in one socket if I can't get the strength from another
item.

I agree with misfit. He has given you the breakpoints so you should be
able to work out the maths.

Amn Amn is the way to go.

Play around with that next time if you didn't already. :)

I had Andy visage and traded it... dunno what was the value and asking here
gave no result. I don't telll for what I traded in case I got ripped off.
;-) Anyway I was tired trying to trade it. I find trading boring, it's
long and most of the time not very enjoyable. Maybe once you have godly
equipement it's more enjoyable.

My pally use the Crocaw for now, until I get a LO.

Thanks, I'll add an AMN and you confirmed what I was thinking... my maths
were good. :-)

The +2 skills on the Andy's makes quite a difference to the merc's aura. I
know that, since I put a +2 Arkaine's Valor on my might merc my skellies are
doing a lot more damage.

Andy's is my favourite merc headgear, paired with a Shaftstop armour.
